American University Washington College of Law Professor Herman Schwartz in his recent article published in The Nation weighs in on the state of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Trump Administration. He says protections against the growing threats by use of poisonous insecticides, fossil-fuel emissions, and many other toxic pollutants to which young children and infants are especially vulnerable, largely depend on the EPA’s enforcement of anti-pollution laws. Yet “Trump’s EPA is doing everything in its power to gut these laws in order to enhance the profits of fossil-fuel, chemical, and other industrial polluters,” says Professor Herman Schwartz.
