The 2021 Digital Accessibility Legal Summit: A Training Course on Organizational Risk Assessments and Risk Mitigation Tools

Presented by Accessibility Track,  this training course brings experts from both the plaintiff and defendant side of the legal landscape concerning the violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable federal and state laws regarding accessibility legal matters.  In addition to providing guidance for legal professionals on how to make adjustments in accessibility programs to lower future legal risks associated with their legal practice, our instructors will discuss the most recent digital accessibility legal issues, case law, and the best law management practices

Importance of Mental Health as it relates to the legal community and cardiovascular diseases

The America Heart Association in partnership with American University Washington College of Law is hosting a virtual webinar on April 27, 2021 for an important conversation regarding lawyers and mental health. Lawyers are 3.6 times as likely to be depressed as other professions, and over 20 percent have substance abuse disorder. Statistics have only worsened amidst the ongoing pandemic, as 45% of adults across all professions say COVID has negatively impacted their mental health. Among the many side-effects of poor mental health is the physical and emotional stress associated with such conditions, stress which puts you at an increased risk for heart disease and stroke.
