Professor Amanda Frost, currently a fellow at Universite Lyon’s Collegium de Lyon in France, gave a virtual talk to the European Law Students Association entitled “Crisis within a Crisis: U.S. Immigration Law & Policy After COVID 19.” In the webinar, Frost gives an explanation of the recent temporary executive order suspending some visas for sixty days, and a broader analysis of the immigration policy in the U.S., both before and during COVID-19. Frost explains the administration has always sought to limit both legal and illegal immigration to the United States, and it has responded to the crisis by further restricting immigration.
