Taslitz, Evidence Law and Practice (5th ed. 2012)(FBT), and West’s Federal Rules of Evidence, 2012 (including Advisory Committee Notes), or any equivalent publication. NOTE: The Federal Rules of Evidence were changed in December 2011 and earlier versions of this casebook and supplement will be out of date.

First Class Readings

(a) Read FBT 1-12 (including being ready to discuss the questions at p. 12), 29-60. (b) Be ready to do the exercises at pp. 34-36 and 39-40 in class; (c) Do problems 1-2, 1-4, 2-3, 3-1, 3-3, 3-4, 3-10, 3-11, 3-13, 3-23 (d) FRE 101, 102, 103,104, 401, 402 NOTE: All first class reading materials will be copied and posted on MyWCL prior to the first class. Additionally, two copies of the casebook are on reserve in the WCL library for your use and will remain there through the semester.
