Stay tuned for more information about the 2024 Summer Program
May 27 – June 14, 2024
The Program is an intensive three-week program that offers a broad spectrum of classes taught by more than 35 world-renowned faculty members in both English and Spanish. One of the unique features of the Program is that the participants have varied academic and professional backgrounds. We gather over 110+ participants from over 25+ different countries with different levels of professional experience, all in Washington D.C. for a full immersion into the world of human rights.
Through this Program, the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law provides the unique opportunity to learn and interact with judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Special Rapporteurs and Committee members of United Nations, members of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, experts from prominent NGOs, and professors from all over the world.
The Academy also sponsors Human Rights Month, which features specialized conferences, a film festival and visits to international organizations. Participants will also be able to attend social events such as welcome and closing receptions, and a night tour of the monuments.
