Scholarships for Former Participants

SCHOLARSHIP FOR LL.M. IN INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS AND HUMANITARIAN LAW

The WCL Academy's LL.M. in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law will offer two scholarships to a former participants (Judge, Team, Observer, Coach, or Bailiff) of the Academy’s Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition. The scholarships cover up to 12 credits for each of the two qualifying student.

Deadline: November 1 each year. Applications should be submitted directly with your LLM application.

Moot Court Participant: Judge, Team, Observer, Coach, or Bailiff

How to Apply: Submit an essay to llm@wcl.american.edu along with a complete LL.M. program application addressing the following: Briefly describe your experience in the competition and explain why you want to pursue the LL.M. in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

The essay may not exceed 750 words. Please state in the subject of your email - LL.M. application and Moot Court Scholarship Essay.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR PROGRAM OF ADVANCED STUDIES ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND HUMANITARIAN LAW

Participants in the Inter-American Moot Court Competition are eligible to receive a partial scholarship for the Program of Advanced Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law of the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, which will take place from May 30 - June 17, 2022. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2022.

In order to start the process you need to send your online application, submit your CV, a letter of interest and also the application fee of $70. In your letter of interest please indicate that you are requesting the Moot Court Scholarship and also please indicate in what form and year you participated/will participate in the competition (Example: Participant, University of X, 2011). This scholarship is only for the Certificate of Attendance not the Diploma. All additional costs such as lodging, travel and incidents are your responsibility.
