2024 Housing Information

The Washington College of Law does not provide housing for Summer Program participants. In previous years, participants have chosen to stay in the AU Dormitories or have found housing on their own.

DORMITORY OPTION: Main Campus -Duber Hall

A block of rooms at American University’s dorms have been reserved for participants attending the Summer Programs. Housing is available in single occupancy rooms on American University's main campus Duber Hall.

Main Campus - Duber Hall houses students in single rooms with private bathrooms.

Each floor community has a central lounge space with a kitchen, lounge furniture, and television for students to study or socialize with their community. Each floor also has a laundry room. Steps away is East Campus Market, a grab-and-go style food market.

The virtual tours available here are representative of a given room type. Each space varies based on room sizes and dimensions. Each virtual tour includes some decorative items and a MicroFridge to show what the room looks like when occupied, but these items are not included in rooms.

Please note that there is no cookware in the shared kitchen, except for a microwave and an oven. Additionally, refrigerators are only available to rent, and information on that process can be found on: www.myfridgerental.com. Typically My Fridge Rental needs at least a week of advance notice.

The summer course will be held at the American University Washington College of Law, but housing is available on American University's main campus. Please be aware that there are two different campuses. For more information, visit the program website here.

American University is conveniently located less than a mile away from the Tenleytown-AU metro stop and the University offers a free shuttle from main campus to the metro and to WCL throughout the day.

Please note that housekeeping is not available. Additionally, AU only provides linens, a blanket, pillow, pillowcase, and a small towel.  If you prefer a larger towel or hand towel, please bring one with you.
