American University Washington College of Law welcomed the Prince George’s County Public School’s Law, Education, and Public Services Academies for Law Day, providing an opportunity for high school students to meet members of the AUWCL community and get a greater sense of the law school experience.

American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) is proud to announce a championship win at the Summit Cup Mock Trial Competition hosted by the University of Denver Sturm College of Law from Oct. 4-8. The prestigious competition is open only to the top mock trial teams around the United States based on performance in 12 major tournaments during the year.

National Law Journal readers have chosen the LL.M. in Law and Government at American University Washington College of Law as a "Best of D.C." in their survey for 2018.

On Friday, Nov. 2, American University Washington College of Law Professor Tony Varona testified at a public briefing of the United States Commission on Civil Rights, entitled “Are Rights A Reality? Evaluating Federal Civil Rights Enforcement.”

In honor of the American Bar Association’s National Pro Bono Celebration in October, American University Washington College of Law’s Office of Public Interest dedicated the month of October to highlighting the many ways AUWCL students are able to get involved with pro bono work while they are still in law school.
