The law school congratulates Major Louis "Jamie" Boston '00, command judge advocate for the U.S. Army, and Akua Coppock '03, assistant city attorney for the City of Atlanta Law Department, named "Trailblazers Under 40" by the National Bar Association. Boston and Coppock were recognized at the NBA's Annual Convention in July.

American University Washington College of Law Welcomes New Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Registrar

by Franki Fitterer August 28, 2016 Amy Tenney, former associate director of the Program on Law & Government and adjunct professor of law at American University Washington College of Law, has been named the law school’s new assistant dean for academic services and registrar, effective Sept. 1, 2016. Tenney's responsibilities will include helping to set and refine the law school's curriculum, leading the Office of the Registrar, and working to provide students an unparalleled academic experience.

Anti-Corruption Program Welcomes Former WTO Director General Pascal Lamy

In September, the U.S. and International Anti-Corruption Law Program welcomed the former WTO Director General Pascal Lamy for a program on “Addressing Corruption in Global Trade.” Lamy worked with the WTO from 2005 until 2013.
