"Hasta la Raíz (Down to the Root)": A Human Rights Film Screening

Join the Center for Human Rights & Humanitarian Law, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL), and the Americas Network on Nationality and Statelessness, for a screening of "Hasta la Raíz (Down to the Root)", a documentary about the denationalization of Dominicans of Haitian descent in the Dominican Republic.  Following the screening, the film's director and producer, Juan Carlos González, will join AUWCL's Practitioner-in-Residence in the International Human Rights Law Clinic, Anne Schaufele, to discuss issues of statelessness, human rights, race, and nationality. This event is free and open to the public.

Language Volunteers help the Clinical Program and its Student Attorneys serve clients who have limited English proficiency by providing interpretation and translation services. You can volunteer as and when you are able - there are no required hours. This training is for all J.D. and LLM students interested in being Language Volunteers.
