Women of Color and the Law: Gaining Access, Achieving Success

Friday, March 30, 2012
09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
American University Washington College of Law, Room 603
4801 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC

Participants attending this conference will engage interactively around three areas of the legal profession for which access has been challenging: education, employment, and services. These participants will include potential prelaw students from diverse backgrounds, currently-enrolled students, jurists, practitioners, legal scholars, and both providers and recipients of services. Our objectives are to share experiences, offer counsel, foster mentorships, and honor pathfinders as we move toward the ultimate goal of enabling greater access to success in the legal profession for women of color.
