Alice Paul Feminist Jurisprudence Award Ceremony and Presentation

Monday, March 15, 2010
04:00 PM - 05:30 PM

The Women and the Law Program and Legal Rhetoric Program sponsor the annual Alice Paul (WCL '22) Feminist Jurisprudence Essay Contest, with the generous assistance of a private benefactor. By awarding a monetary prize and giving students an opportunity present their work to an audience, we hope to inspire the next generation of scholars, lawyers and activists to make daring and creative contributions to feminist jurisprudence. This year we welcome Thea Johnson, the winner of the 2009 Alice Paul Feminist Jurisprudence Essay Contest, to present her work on "Guaranteed Access to Safe and Legal Abortions: The True Revolution of Mexico City's Legal Reforms." Ms. Johnson's presentation will cap off the Women and the Law Program's Women's Health and the Law Junior Faculty Workshop, to be held the same day. All events are open to the public.
