September & October Deadlines
The outside scholarships listed below are intended for students pursuing legal studies; however, they are not affiliated with American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL). Although the information below is reviewed quarterly for accuracy, it is subject to change at any time by the scholarship organization(s). All outside scholarships received by AUWCL students must be reported to the AUWCL Financial Aid Office and are subject to the cost of attendance guidelines.
NAPABA Law Foundation (NLF) Scholarships
The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Law Foundation will award $2,000 scholarships through one application with reference to the quality of the applicant pool. In recent years, eight to ten such additional scholarships have been awarded each year.
J. Franklyn Bourne Scholarship Fund, Inc.
Applicants must be registered at an accredited law school and be in good standing with said law school at the time of application. Selection criteria include financial need, academic achievements, service to community and school, strength of recommendations, and quality of essay.
