Professor Effross Appointed to New Committee Updating the Uniform Commercial Code

Professor Walter Effross, author of Blockchainforlawstudents.com and faculty advisor to AUWCL’s Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Law Society, has been appointed by the American Law Institute to serve on the new American Law Institute/Uniform Law Commission Joint Committee on the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and Emerging Technologies.
The Committee was created earlier this year to examine whether the UCC should be amended to accommodate emerging technological developments.
"It’s a privilege to be able to contribute to the evolution of the Uniform Commercial Code, and an honor to follow in the footsteps of my colleague and mentor, Professor Egon Guttman, in doing so," Effross said.
