Professor Popper Named Bronfman Scholar in Administrative Law

American University Washington College of Law has named Professor Andrew F. Popper the Ann Loeb Bronfman Scholar in Administrative Law. This 3-year endowed chair stems from a donation from Ann Loeb Bronfman, an heir to the Seagrams fortune, who made the gift because of her connection with the late dean of AUWCL, Fred Anderson, a specialist in administrative law and environmental law.

The tournament was organized by the International Trademark Association (INTA) and was held at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Professor Jenny Roberts wrote an amicus brief in Lee v. U.S. on behalf of three national organizations that work at the intersection of criminal and immigration law, the Immigrant Defense Project, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, and the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild. Three American University Washington College of Law students worked on the brief: Roberto Martinez ’17 and Christina Moehrle ’17, both in the Criminal Justice Clinic, as well as Aaron Garavaglia ’16.
