American University welcomed to campus David Hogg, Jaclyn Corin, and Samantha Fuentes  –  survivors of the 2018 school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida – as part of the annual Larissa Gerstel Critical Literacy and Social Justice Symposium.

American University Washington College of Law’s Business Law Program presented “Ten Years After the Financial Crisis,” a discussion with former Secretary of the Treasury Jack Lew, Wednesday, Oct. 10. The discussion was moderated by American University President Sylvia M. Burwell.

Dean Camille Nelson and American University Washington College of Law hosted "An Evening to Honor the Career of Professor Elliott Milstein" on Friday, Oct. 12 at the American University Katzen Arts Center. More than 150 of Milstein’s colleagues and friends, including AUWCL alumni, celebrated his 45-year career as a renowned clinical legal educator and revered law school leader.

As a member of the working group comprising the Maryland Juvenile Lifer Parole Representation Project (MJLPRP), Professor Binny Miller has recently shared in two pro bono awards: the 2018 Herbert S. Garten Special Project Award from the Maryland State Bar Association and the Alan J. Davis Award from the law firm Ballard Spahr. 

American University Washington College of Law’s Administrative Law Review is partnering with the Administrative Conference of the United States Oct. 5 to host the 2018 Fall Symposium on Mass and Fake Comments in Agency Rulemaking.
