From Nov. 4-7, the World Bank will host Law, Justice and Development (LJD) Week 2019, bringing together the global community interested in using law and justice tools to contribute to development. Since 2014, the Program on International Organizations Law and Diplomacy (PIOLD) at American University Washington College of Law has been a co-sponsor of LJD Week, with AUWCL program faculty and students supporting conference events and participating in a myriad of ways.

She balances two jobs: Chief of the Court Human Resources Division of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts—which provides administrative support to all federal courts—and being a mom to her 11-year-old daughter Natalie and 9-year-old son John. At night, she attends classes in AUWCL’s nationally ranked part-time evening program.

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, American University’s National Security Law Brief hosted a day-long symposium, “Combating the Threat of Domestic Terrorism in the 21st Century.” The event, presented in collaboration with the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and AUWCL’s new Tech, Law, Security Program, sought to assess today's threats of domestic terrorism in the post-9/11 era.
