U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser will join AU leadership, distinguished alumni, and the SBA President in a formal ceremony to officially open the new American University Washington College of Law Tenley Campus Feb. 12

On January 26, 2016, during his visit to Europe, Dean Claudio Grossman hosted an alumni dinner in Paris. Eight AUWCL graduates from both JD and LL.M programs attended the event to connect with the Dean in an informal setting. As part of the evening, Dean Grossman discussed the latest developments at AUWCL’s new Tenley Campus and shared the news about the upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony. 

On January 14, 2016, the Office of Diversity Services at American University Washington College of Law hosted the 17th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Commemoration Program in Claudio Grossman Hall.The event kicked off the annual Founders’ celebration, which commemorates 120 years since the law school’s founding by Ellen Spencer Mussey and Emma Gillett in 1896. 

On Dec. 15, American University Washington College of Law in conjunction with the American Chilean Chamber of Commerce and the University of Chile Law School organized a seminar on “State, Business and Innovation.” The Chilean Secretary of Economy Felipe Céspedes gave the inaugural lecture. 

On Dec. 8, the Office of Student Affairs kicked off “Finals Frenzy,” events and services to help students unwind during reading period and final exam weeks.
