The fourth and final event will take place in person and online. This session will focus on the United States’ uses and non-use of the USMCA’s Chapter 14. Beyond asking if the new structures are providing the country the security it seeks as a host state and whether the structures are offering US investors the assurances they need to invest in their USMCA partners, this session will use the lessons from all of the workshops to again consider what lessons the USMCA may hold for future international investment agreements – and international investment law in general.

Julie Andreeff Jensen is Founder and co-CEO of Jasper Advisors, a strategic advisory firm which provide executive communication, crisis management, philanthropy, corporate reputation and organizational change management services in a range of industries.

Before founding Jasper, Julie worked in the National Football League as a Senior Vice President of the Washington Football Team, where she led the communications and public affairs functions during the team’s rebrand and a period of significant transition. Prior to the NFL, Julie served as the first Chief Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer at Citadel, where she built the corporate affairs function and oversaw the firm’s reputation and brand strategy.

Julie received her undergraduate degree from American University, where she was captain of the swim team, and her law degree from American’s Washington College of Law.
