Law Student Pro Bono Training: Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition (CAIR)
CAIR Coalition is a non-profit striving to ensure equal justice for all immigrant adults and children at risk of detention and deportation in the Capital Region and beyond. Volunteers support this mission through a variety of remote opportunities:
- Volunteering on the CAIR's Detention Hotline (M-F 9am-5pm) to help detainees access legal services by connecting callers with our staff and delivering follow-up messages relating to individual cases.
- Translating court documents
- Providing live interpretation of phone calls between CAIR Coalition attorneys and their clients.
