09:30AM - 03:00PM Online via Zoom

The American University Law Review (AULR) Federal Circuit Symposium is the nation’s first and only academic symposium dedicated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  The Law Review began hosting the annual Federal Circuit Symposium in 1985 and is proud to host this event again for the 36th time.  In addition to the Symposium, the Law Review dedicates an entire issue to the Federal Circuit, publishing insightful and relevant articles from esteemed scholars, practitioners, legislators, and members of the judiciary that highlight and analyze important developments in patent law, trademark law, government contract law, international trade law, and veterans’ law.

This year, the event will feature a morning keynote conversation with Congresswoman Jackie Speier, of the United States House of Representatives.  This keynote conversation will be followed by a panel discussion on patent law, an Oxford-style debate on trademark law, and panel discussions on international trade law and government contract law.
