OCI Preparation: Introduction to the Capital Markets and Institutions/Financial System w/ Business Law Program

This session is a crash course on the vocabulary of business law.  Open to everyone but particularly geared towards students interviewing for corporate law jobs, this session will introduce you to the functions of the capital markets and the broader financial system, and to the key players involved.  You will learn some basic information about different financial products and institutions that many employers consider common knowledge and may reference in interviews.

Each online meeting will be approximately 20 minutes, and may include advice on revising your resume and making contacts in the field. Registration requires an uploaded resume and short description of your field of interest to share with career coaches.

Mock Trial Honor Society First Year Trial Advocacy Competition

The First Year Trial Advocacy Competition (FYTAC) gives first year students the opportunity to test their trial litigation skills while receiving feedback from current Mock Trial Honor Society members. FYTAC offers prospective members a taste of mock trial competition through the presentation of an abbreviated case. Students will receive a case packet at registration, develop a case theory and theme, and craft a closing argument to present to the current MTHS membership.
