SCOTUS Series: Helsinn Healthcare S.A. v. Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc.
Join us for this semester's first SCOTUS series panel discussion and reception. AUWCL regularly invites counsel of record and counsel for selected amici to offer post-argument reflections in intellectual property (and related) cases heard by the Supreme Court. PIJIP hosts these events on the afternoon of oral argument before the Court. This panel will discuss the issue: Whether, under the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act, an inventor's sale of an invention to a third party that is obligated to keep the invention confidential qualifies as prior art for the purpose of determining the patentability of the invention. Business Basics Bootcamp - Day 1
Please join us for a two-day intensive bootcamp to introduce law students to business concepts. It is designed for students who have very little existing business knowledge, but students with more experience or knowledge are welcome.
The Bootcamp is an intensive classroom experience, consisting of 14 hours in the classroom led by AUWCL Professor Ken Anderson and distinguished guest instructors covering:
- Fundamental business concepts and skills
- Interpreting financial statements
- Distinguishing amongst a variety of business entities
- Understating a number of types of financing for business ventures
The event is open to 1L. 2L, and 3L students at AUWCL.
