EJF Spring Auction

07:00PM - 09:30PM Ceremonial Classroom Warren

 Join the Equal Justice Foundation (EJF) for its biggest fundraiser of the year in the form of a silent auction. The auction will take place on Friday, March 22 at 7pm in the Ceremonial Classroom & Outside Lobby of the Warren Building. Guests will be able to bid on valuable prizes. All proceeds from the auction will be used to financially support public interest law students while completing summer internships.

ISSS: CPT & OPT Application Process for International Students

 Are you a F-1 or J-1 student? Don’t miss the CPT/OPT Session on March 26th at 12-1pm! ISSS will discuss the application process and paperwork required for WCL students to apply for Curriculum Practical Training (CPT) to extern and Optional Practical Training (OPT) to work post-graduation. The session will be held virtually and registration is required.

Careers in Government: Investigations and Enforcement

Join Professor Wermiel, OCPD, and a panel of WCL alums from the Department of Labor, Department of Defense, DOJ Tax, and HUD’s Office of Fair Housing Enforcement Division to learn more about legal careers in the government focused on investigation and enforcement work.  This will be the second in our Spring panel series on government careers, and is recommended for any JD student who is interested in working in the government or a related practice area. 

 

Many of the agencies we will feature have terrific externship, summer, and post-grad programs for our students, but deadlines can be especially early for government jobs!  Some summer and post-grad application deadlines are as early as August!  Join us for a pizza lunch in NT01 so you can hear what these alum have to share and start planning ahead for these deadlines over the summer! Registration is required.
