The Ties That Bind Lunch Discussion
The WCL Office of Diversity and Inclusion has partnered with the WCL International Legal Studies Program to host an interactive lunch on Monday, April 23rd entitled, “The Ties That Bind.” The event will feature a discussion where we will talk about our shared experiences to discover our commonalities while appreciating our differences. Getting to know our students and colleagues helps to build our community, so we desire that attendees will join in what is sure to be a conversation about learning and fellowship!

The Twelfth Annual International Trade and Investment Law Society Distinguished Alumni Dinner & Preceding Program
With the announcement of new Steel and Aluminum Tariffs, a Section 301 Intellectual Property Investigation on China, the announcement of a new U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement, and a head on approach to a “Trade War,” U.S. trade policy is being vastly changed under the Trump Administration. This panel will examine some of the new U.S. policies on international trade and how it is impacting global trade trends and norms around the world.

Join us for lunch with a very special guest, Michele Woods, the Director of the Copyright Law Division at the World Intellectual Property Organization!
Ms. Woods will be speaking to us the day after her presentation at the Copyright Office on the occasion of World IP Day’s focus on “the women who are driving change in our world and shaping our common future." She was deeply involved in the recent transformation of international Copyright Law through the Marrakesh Treaty for the visually impaired.
