25th Annual Public Interest Auction
Join us for the 25th Annual Public Interest Auction. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 5 pm. Live Auction will begin at 6 pm. All proceeds go towards supporting the Equal Justice Foundation (EJF), a student organization dedicated to closing the justice gap. Every dollar raised for EJF supports Washington College of Law students by providing stipends for students pursuing unpaid internships with public interest organizations this summer.

Church and State: A Symposium on Religion and Individual Rights
This symposium will discuss the legal issues surrounding religion and individual rights through two panels. The first panel, God in the Classroom, will discuss legal issues surrounding religion in the context of education, specifically prayer and symbols in school, and LGBTQ students. The second panel, Heaven and Health, will discuss legal issues surrounding religion, health laws, and religious objections. Professor Elizabeth Sepper from Washington University Law School in St. Louis, a noted scholar on religious liberty and health law, will be our keynote speaker. Our panel moderators are: Professor Richard Katskee, Legal Director at Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, and Professor Daniela Kraiem, Associate Director for the Women and the Law Program at American University Washington College of Law.
