Rise Against Hate

Please join us on Friday, January 31st at noon in NT01 (Ceremonial Classroom) for our lunchtime event, Rise Against Hate, which commemorates the 10 year anniversary of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act. Featuring guest speakers include Judy Shepard, Michael Lieberman (Anti-Defamation League), David Stacy (Human Rights Campaign), Kristen Clarke (Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law), Mara Keisling (National Center for Transgender Equality) and Hilary Shelton (NAAP). Lunch will be served. This event is sponsored by the following WCL organizations: the Program on Law and Government, the Lambda Law Society, the Jewish Law Society, the Black Law Students Association, and the AU Office of Campus Life and Inclusive Excellence. Career Coaching & Speed Networking for IP/Tech/Communications/Sports/Security Students

This annual event matches students with practicing alumni working in their field of interest for one-on-one meetings. Each meeting is approximately 20 minutes, and may include resume review, career coaching, helpful hints on how to make contacts in the field or a particular organization, as well as personal experiences. 

Registration requires an uploaded resume and short description of your field of interest to share with career coaches.

Transactional Law Society Spring Qualifying Tournament

 The Transactional Law Society ("TLS") is Spring Qualifying Tournament (SQT)on February 1-2, 2020, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in N101. 

TLS is one of the premier negotiation societies on campus. We have an outstanding reputation for competing and winning both domestically and internationally. TLS focuses on training students interested in negotiation, and legal and policy drafting for all practice areas including intellectual property, sports law, mergers & acquisitions, tax law, and health law and policy.
