As the Assistant Director for the Office of Public Interest at American University Washington College of Law, Angie works closely with students pursuing pro bono activities and public interest careers. She also coordinates the Pro Bono Honors Pledge Program, the Public Interest/Public Service Scholars (PIPS) Program, and works with the law school’s vibrant student groups, faculty and alumni to develop public interest programming and opportunities at Washington College of Law.
Rachel is a second year law student at WCL who is interested in both National Security Law as well as International Human Rights Law, with a focus on post-conflict societies. She serves as the Dean’s Fellow for the Office of Public Interest where, along with her regular Dean’s Fellow duties, she has had the opportunity to work on a child asylum case with Kids In Need of Defense (KIND). Previously, Rachel has interned with organizations focusing on both Constitutional and National Security Law. In her spare time, she is a long-distance runner now training for her first 50k!
