Arbitration Summer Session Exam Information

Examination Time Period

Courses in English

Exams are mandatory for students taking courses per academic credit. 

Visiting attorneys and participants not interested in ABA academic credit and those not wishing to take exams will receive a certificate of attendance.
Participants who take and pass exams of at least 3 courses will receive a Certificate of Completion or Diploma. 

Examination Time Period

Students may download the 24-hour take-home exam seven calendar days after the last day of classes.  The exam will be available until July 15, 2020 through MyWCL. Please see below specific dates:

Mediation: Theory & Practice - The final examination will require participants to provide a written analysis of a fifteen minute “film festival quality” short film.  The paper must be uploaded by July 15, 2020 through MyWCL.

Introduction to the Practice of International Commercial Arbitration - 24-hour take-home exam available from June 8 to July 15, 2020 (5:00 pm (EST)).

International Commercial Arbitration and Choice-of-Law Issues - 24-hour take-home exam available from June 15 to July 15, 2020.

Investor-State Arbitration - 24-hour take-home exam available from June 15 to July 15, 2020 (5:00 pm (EST)).

Damages and Compensation in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration - 24-hour take-home exam available from June 22 to July 15, 2020.

Arbitraje Comercial Internacional - Examen disponible del 8 de junio al 15 de julio de 2020 (5:00pm ET).

Arbitraje Inversionista - Estado - Examen disponible del 15 de junio al 15 de julio de 2020 (5:00pm ET).

Seminario Avanzado: Aspectos Prácticos del Proceso Arbitral - Examen disponible del 22 de junio al 15 de julio de 2020 (5:00pm ET).

Teoría y Práctica de la Mediación (En dado en inglés con opción de cursos y examen en español) - Paper o ensayo que debe ser completado y subido al sistema antes del  15 de julio de 2020 (5:00pm ET).

Please note that Exams are optional for certificate students. All students will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

Time for exams does not accumulate. The exam must be uploaded within the allotted time. Any exam that is returned after the allotted time period will be given a failing grade.
