Distance-Learning CERTIFICATE Programs in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration

You can choose among the following four offerings of 16-week long online programs with live virtual classes and state-of-the-art online content:

The programs were developed by the Center on International Commercial Arbitration directed by Horacio A. Grigera Naón, an independent international arbitrator and former secretary general of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.

These full-fledged distance-learning Certificate Programs focus on the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to handle international commercial and investment arbitral cases either as counsel or arbitrator, both from the substantive and procedural law standpoint.  Participants will earn a certificate in International Arbitration from a world-renowned educational institution in Washington, D.C. while maintaining their day-to-day commitments. The programs make use of the flexibility of online communication technology to prepare participants with the foundational knowledge and skills to succeed in the complex and ever-changing field of international arbitration.

Each program has a 16-week duration. Participants must be self-motivated and able to dedicate approximately 7 to 10 hours a week to watch video-lectures and work on quizzes, problems, and readings. Students may access the lectures according to their schedule and will be able to access a Professor when needed. While the program is self-paced, weekly advances and participation are expected.
