The Implications of the Conflicting Mifepristone Federal Court Rulings A Teach-In with Heath Law and Policy Program Faculty
In separate court rulings issued late Friday, two federal judges issued contradictory rulings about an abortion drug, mifepristone, with one judge issuing a nationwide preliminary injunction (taking effect in seven days) that would rescind the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s decision to approve the drug over two decades ago, and the other barring the agency from changing its current policies. Please join the Health Law and Policy Program and the Women and the Law Program in Y403 for an informal discussion about these dueling decisions.
Bring your own lunch but dessert will be served! Please RSVP by emailing Program Coordinator Tori Nadel at vnadel@wcl.american.edu.
