Kovler Project Against Torture Panel Presentation

12:00PM - 01:00PM Washington College of Law
The Kovler Project against Torture is a unique experiential learning opportunity that includes a specialized seminar on the prohibition of torture under international law, taught by former Chair of the United Nations Committee against Torture Claudio Grossman. Throughout the semester, students will prepare questions presented to the States Parties on potential areas of non-compliance with the Convention against Torture and go on a one-week trip to Geneva to attend the Committee against Torture’s session.
At this panel, the 2022 Kovler Project participants will discuss the Project and the upcoming spring application process and deadline with Dean Emeritus Claudio Grossman and Assistant Director of Impact Litigation & the Kovler Project Against Torture Meagan DeSimone.
