SQT is the official try out for MTHS. SQT is open to Full-Time 1L & 2L’s as well as Part-Time 1Ls,2Ls, & 3Ls.
SQT consist of 2 days. On day 1 competitors are required to give a 5-Minute closing argument. At the conclusion of day 1 competitors will be told if they advanced to day 2. During day 2 competitors are required to conduct a 4-Minute Direct Examination as well as the best 1-Minute from their Closing Argument.
In order to answer any questions/help with preparation MTHS will be hosting information sessions as follows:
Wednesday, January 26 at 9:00 PM: on Zoom (email MTHSRecruitment@gmail.com for link) Wednesday, February 2 at 12:00 PM: in person (room TBD)*
Monday, February 7 at 5:30 PM: in person (room TBD)*
In addition to the info sessions, we will be hosting drop-in office hours. Feel free to stop by at anytime during these windows to ask questions, practice your closing and/or direct, hangout, or come say hi!:

Monday, January 31 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: in person (room TBD)*
Wednesday, February 9 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: in person (room TBD)*
