Jessica Thomson ('11)
Jessica Thomson is the Associate Principal Counsel - Patents at The Walt Disney Company, where she manages the Studio Technology and Walt Disney Animation Studios patent portfolios. She is a co-founder and Board member of ADAPT (Advancing Diversity Across Patent Teams), which is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the IP profession. Prior to joining Disney, Jessica was a patent prosecution associate in Foley & Lardner LLP’s Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies practice group. Jessica earned a J.D. at American University Washington College of Law in 2011, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2008. While at MIT, Jessica was licensed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to operate the MIT Nuclear Reactor.
