Addie Haughey is the Senior Manager for Government Relations at Ocean Conservancy in Washington DC, where she serves as the lead lobbyist for Ocean Planning and Gulf of Mexico Restoration. Previously, she served as a Federal Lands Associate at Defenders of Wildlife, a national environmental nonprofit organization, where she advocated for wildlife in National Forests and on other public lands. Her work ranges from advocacy within individual plans and projects to ensuring strong wildlife protections on the ground, to advancing national level policy for wildlife protection throughout the country. Addie deals with a wide range of threats to wildlife, including climate change and industrial development on public lands.
Addie earned her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law and her B.S. in Environmental Policy and Planning from Virginia Tech.
