Professor Greer is currently the Policy Director at Children's Law Center where she focuses on advocating for laws, policies and programs that improve the lives of neglected children and children with special education and health care needs. Prior to Children’s Law Center she was the Director of Law and Policy at Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) and is a leading expert on military law and policies effecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. She has appeared on CNN Wolf Blitzer Reports and National Public Radio and has been quoted in Washington Post and New York Times.
Professor Greer also worked at the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP). There, she worked on cases before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and represented plaintiffs’ in two class actions through NVLSP’s Agent Orange Resource Center. She also helped design and create Lawyers Serving Warriors, a program which provides pro bono legal services for returning veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. Prior to NVLSP, Professor Greer was an associate with the firm of Weissman & Mintz, specializing in plaintiffs’ side employment discrimination and labor law.
Professor Greer serves on the board of GayLAW, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Attorneys of Washington and has served on the board of the National Lesbian & Gay Law Association. She also served on the Board of the National Veterans Legal Services Program.
