Korn Cherdchoo is a current SJD candidate at American University Washington College of Law. His dissertation examines international nuclear law and policy from an environmental standpoint. With a background in nuclear engineering, he has broad academic interests in international law, environmental law, energy law, the connection between science and law, and the impact of social values and law on science and technology. He aims to integrate interdisciplinary study into his legal research.

He received an LLB degree with honors from Ramkhamhaeng University in Thailand, then a BS summa cum laude in Nuclear Engineering, with a minor in psychology, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and an LLM degree with honors, with a concentration in international and comparative law, from the University of Illinois College of Law.

He holds a reserved position as a legal officer and scholar at the Office of Atoms for Peace, Thailand.
