Dr. Morad El Sana

Dr. Morad Elsana sucessfully earned his S.J.D. degree from American University Washington College of Law in August 2013. His dissertation was titled “The Dispossession and Recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Land Rights – The Case of Bedouin in Israel.” Prior to joining Washington College of Law’s S.J.D. program, Dr. Elsana served as Staff Attorney & Director of Adalah's Naqab Office at the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Adalah, Israel (2001 - 2009).  Dr. Elsana also served as the Legal Advisor for Genesis- Community Advocacy (2001 - 2003) and Pro-bono Legal Advisor for the Regional Council for the Unrecognized Villages in the Negev (1997 - 2000). His fields of study and professional expertise include: Property Law and Indigenous Rights, Human Rights Law, Minority Rights, and Comparative International Law. Dr. Elsana is fluent in English, Arabic, and Hebrew.
