Legends & Leaders 2023
Legends & Leaders is an awards program that celebrates and recognizes alumni service and achievement. The WCL Community is encouraged to attend this special event! This year, our Alumni Awards reception will take place on Friday, April 14 on our Tenley Campus. As a reminder, we will be recognizing alumni in the following categories:
- Lifetime Philanthropy Award
The Lifetime Philanthropy Award is presented to an alum for their generous and meaningful financial support to WCL.
- Distinguished Alumni Award
Awarded to an alum for exceptional accomplishment and leadership in the nominee’s professional field, which brings distinction to themselves and honor to the law school. The contribution(s) need not be publicly renowned but should align with the educational mission of AUWCL.
- Outstanding Graduate of the Last Decade Award (GOLD Award)
Awarded to an alum who has graduated within the last 10 years for exceptional professional accomplishment and/or volunteer service to the WCL community, American university, or any alumni organization.
More news on this year’s Alumni Awards winners will be announced soon!
WCL has traditionally celebrated our scholarship recipients and donors at our annual Legends & Leaders event. However, in our effort to give broader recognition to our students and donors at an institutional level, the WCL community of scholars and donors is now part of American University’s scholarship celebration luncheon. Scholarship recipients can contact us at email@example.com to get more information about university-wide luncheon.
