Criminal Procedure I

Textbooks and Other Materials

The textbook information on this page was provided by the instructor. Students should use this information when considering purchases from the AU Campus Store or other vendors. Students may check to determine if books are currently available for purchase online.

There are two casebook options. You can purchase either of the two casebooks discussed below, and you must also purchase the 2012 supplement. Casebook Option #1 Saltzburg & Capra, American Criminal Procedure (9th ed.) This grey and black hard-bound book is 1,687 pages and covers readings for both the Criminal Procedure I course and the Criminal Procedure II course. Accordingly, all of the assigned readings for this course will be in the first ½ of the book. OR Casebook Option #2 Saltzburg, Capra, American Criminal Procedure Investigative: Cases and Commentary” (9th ed) This smaller, paperback book (925 pages) has the exact same text (and page numbering) as the hard-bound book (option #1 above), but includes only readings for the Criminal Procedure I course. You do not need to purchase both books. AND Saltzburg, Capra, American Criminal Procedure Cases and Commentary (2012 supplement) You will need to purchase the new supplement in addition to the casebook.

First Class Readings

The first reading assignment will consist of supplemental course materials, all of which will be posted on MyWCL prior to the first class.
