Gerald Kpangkpari is a Master of Laws (LL.M.) candidate in Intellectual Property Law and Technology at the American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL), where he also serves as a Dean’s Fellow with the Tech, Law, and Security Program.
He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Ghana and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2022. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Technology, both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
Before joining AUWCL, he served as a State Prosecutor at the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), a specialized law enforcement agency under Ghana’s Ministry of Justice and Attorney-General’s Department, where his focus was on the investigation and prosecution of organized crime. He has over a decade of experience in money laundering investigations.
Gerald is particularly interested in the intersection of privacy and international information sharing. Through the Privacy Across Borders initiative under the Tech, Law, and Security Program, he aims to explore how privacy concerns influence intelligence sharing between developed and developing countries.
Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, he has recently taken up tennis and is enjoying the sport immensely.
