
Conrad F. Johnson is a first-year Juris Doctor candidate at the American University Washington College of Law. A native of Gig Harbor, Washington, Conrad currently serves as a Dean’s Fellow for the Tech, Law, and Security Program and as a junior articles staffer on the National Security Law Brief. His primary interests in the law are national security, international law, and cybersecurity.
Prior to law school, Conrad worked in the United States Senate on the staff of Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), the Ranking Member of the Senate Commerce Committee and senior member of the Senate Finance and Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committees. He served in various roles in Senator Cantwell's personal office including managing the crime, law enforcement, and transportation policy portfolios. He also served as a Session Aide to Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman (R-WA) and Military Legal Assistance Intern in the office of the US Army I Corps Staff Judge Advocate.
Conrad graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus in International Security and a minor in International Studies. He is also a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and is a triathlete and amateur cyclist in his free time.
