
Alejandra Gutierrez is a third-year law student at American University Washington College of Law. She currently serves as a Dean’s Fellow with the Tech, Law, and Security Program and is a senior staff member of the Business Law Review. She also serves as President of the Latin American Law Student Association (LALSA). During the 2024–2025 academic year, Alejandra was a Classroom Dean’s Fellow for the Legal Research and Writing course. She has gained legal experience through internships at Microsoft, where she worked on issues at the intersection of technology and law, and at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), where she supported legal services for unaccompanied immigrant children. Prior to law school, she worked as a Project Coordinator for the Conflict Prevention and Peace Forum (CPPF) at the Social Science Research Council, where she conducted research and helped organize consultancies and workshops for United Nations agencies. Alejandra earned her B.A. in Political Science from Rice University in 2019, with a minor in Business and a certificate in French Language and Intercultural Communication.
