The CEDAW Shadow Report: A Practitioner’s Guide to International Accountability

On March 4th, 2026, the Program on Gender, Theory, Law & Practice, the Center for Human Rights & Humanitarian Law, and the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law hosted a panel at American University Washington College of Law on advancing global gender justice. The event explored how practitioners use CEDAW shadow reports to hold governments accountable within the UN treaty-body system.
