Strengthening Ties: Center Director Meets with NCHR in Oslo on Torture Prevention and Environmental Justice
June 2025 – Director Professor Eduardo Bertoni, met with colleagues at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) at the University of Oslo to exchange perspectives on shared priorities in the field of human rights, especially the prevention of torture.
The conversation focused on strengthening collaboration between our Center’s Anti-Torture Initiative and NCHR’s global work on investigative interviewing standards, judicial reform, and legal empowerment.
Professor Bertoni met with Knut D. Asplund, Gisle Kvanvig, and Susanne H. Flølo, all part of NCHR’s Rule of Law team. We look forward to building connections between our institutions in this critical area of work.
He also met with Prof. Dr. Christina Voigt, Chair of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, to explore possible collaborations in the field of environment and human rights.
