July 3, 2025 – Professor Eduardo Bertoni, Director of the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, spoke at the Center for Studies on Freedom of Expression (CELE) at the University of Palermo in Buenos Aires. He presented his research on emerging regulatory approaches that pose potential threats to freedom of expression on social media platforms. In his remarks, Professor Bertoni discussed traditional mechanisms used to restrict freedom of expression and drew connections to current trends in regulation, highlighting how these new approaches often overlook their potential negative impacts.

Professor Bertoni was introduced by CELE Director Professor Agustina del Campo, a WCL alum. Among the people attending included Professor Roberto Saba, the former University of Palermo School of Law Dean, and Dr. Ricardo Gil Lavedra, the current President of the Buenos Aires City Bar Association.
