First Year Trial Advocacy Competition

The final round of the 2020 First-Year Trial Advocacy Competition
The final round of the 2020 First-Year Trial Advocacy Competition.

The First Year Trial Advocacy Competition (FYTAC) gives first year students the opportunity to test their trial litigation skills while receiving feedback from current Mock Trial Honor Society members through the presentation of an abbreviated case. Advocates will be given a short case file, from which they will prepare a five-minute closing argument. Participation in the program is not required for entry onto Mock Trial but it is highly encouraged.

The next First Year Trial Advocacy Competition will be held January 2022.
