Civil Advocacy Clinic

Student attorneys in the Civil Advocacy Clinic (CAC) support low-income clients to achieve access to justice, with a focus on representing survivors of intimate partner violence and other DC residents who are disproportionately negatively impacted by lack of counsel. Students gain invaluable exposure to civil litigation, trial advocacy, and holistic client representation by appearing on behalf of clients in D.C. Superior Court, representing their clients from the initiation of a case to its completion.
