||The following three cases will be argued before the court:
13-CV-483 Tyrone Bryant v. District of Columbia, et al.
A civil action claiming wrongful termination for engaging in a protected activity, in violation of the District of Columbia Human Rights Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Appellant claims the firing came after he declared his intention to testify against the District's interest in a co-worker's sexual harassment suit.
13-AA-866 Valery Charles v. D.C. Dep't of Employment Svcs.
A worker's compensation case where the Petitioner sought disability benefits, among other expenses, in relation to injuries he claims to have sustained on the job. Petitioner appeals the denial of his claims by the initial administrative law bodies.
11-CF-1129 Donzell Baylor v. United States
A criminal action where Appellant was convicted of Assault with Intent to Kill While Armed, Aggravated Assault While Armed, two counts of Possession of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence, Unlawful Possession of A Firearm, and Carrying a Pistol without a License in relation to a shooting in 2009 in Northeast D.C. Appellant claims the trial court committed four reversible errors, including; improper lines of questioning, improper references to Appellant’s Muslim faith, an out-of-court identification, and failure to merge two convictions for purposes of sentencing.
