Celebrating 20 Years of the WCRO

The WCRO thanks our cosponsors at the American Red Cross, the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, PluriCourts of the University of Oslo, and the American Society of International Law, our 34 excellent speakers, and all who attended our conference on Prosecuting Serious International Crimes: Exploring the Intersections between International and Domestic Justice Efforts, in celebration of our 20th anniversary, as well as everyone at WCL who supported the success of this event. Launch of the WCRO's 19th report of the ICC Legal Analysis and Education Project

On Friday, November 20th, 2015, during the 14th Assembly of States Parties meeting in The Hague, War Crimes Research Office Director Susana SáCouto launched the WCRO's 19th report of the ICC Legal Analysis and Education project, entitled The Confirmation of Charges Process at the International Criminal Court: A Critical Assessment and Recommendations for Change. She was joined by ICC President Silvia Fernández de Gurmendi for a panel moderated by Ambassador Jürg Lindenmann of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

Hague Summer Law Program

On Friday, November 13th the WCRO hosted an information session on the 2016 Summer Law Program in The Hague. The session, which you can watch the recording of here, covered the application process, courses, life in The Hague, and extracurricular and networking opportunities.
